Empowering Widows: Kalim Mustaqbal Foundation Distributes Business Tools to 42 Beneficiaries in Katsina
Empowering Widows in Katsina: A Step Toward Self-Reliance
On June 10, 2025, the Kalim Mustaqbal Foundation organized a powerful empowerment program dedicated to supporting widows in Katsina Central. Held at the Katsina Multipurpose Hall, the event lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes and brought together 42 widows from the local community who were in need of sustainable livelihood support.
The program was focused on providing practical resources to help these women become self-reliant and economically empowered. In a country where widows often face significant economic and social challenges, initiatives like this serve as a beacon of hope.

As part of the empowerment effort, the foundation distributed a wide range of items tailored to different small-scale businesses. These included:
- Groundnut oil for both consumption and resale
- Sewing machines to help widows venture into tailoring
- Grinding machines and grains grinding machines to support food processing businesses
- Freezers for those interested in selling cold drinks or preserving goods
- Firewood and charcoal for cooking or resale
- Ingredients and tools for making zobo, kunun aya, and siro
- Supplies for producing tofu, chin-chin, and more
These items were not just donations—they were tools for transformation. With them, each beneficiary can start or improve a small business, gaining financial independence and restoring their dignity.
The event was personally overseen by the founder of the Kalim Mustaqbal Foundation, whose presence added warmth and encouragement to the occasion. The founder reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to continually uplifting marginalized groups—especially women and widows—through practical, long-term support.
As always, Kalim Mustaqbal Foundation’s goal remains clear: to empower the underserved, promote self-reliance, and build stronger, more resilient communities. This empowerment event is one of many the foundation has delivered to bring real, measurable change to those who need it most.
