Building an Inclusive Future for Persons with Disabilities in Katsina State

In a remarkable show of compassion and commitment, the Kalim Mustaqbal Foundation, in partnership with the Abdulkabir Aliu Foundation (AAF), successfully held the 2025 Community Empowerment Programme for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Katsina State.

The initiative, which followed our earlier announcement, was designed to provide practical tools that promote self-reliance, economic inclusion, and dignity for individuals living with disabilities.

A total of 280 beneficiaries received life-changing empowerment items, including:

• 💻 Laptops for those pursuing education or digital skills training
• ✂️ Sewing machines enabling beneficiaries to start tailoring businesses
• 🦽 Crutches and disability tricycles enhancing mobility and independence
• 💧 Water pumping machines supporting agricultural ventures
• ⚙️ Grinding machines and freezers for small-scale food processing and preservation businesses
• 🛒 Provision store items to help beneficiaries establish or grow petty trade

Each item distributed was more than just a gift. It was a gateway to opportunity, helping recipients gain control over their lives and contribute productively to their communities.

The event reaffirmed the foundation’s shared vision with AAF: a future where ability, not disability, defines potential.

Through programs like this, Kalim Mustaqbal Foundation continues to uphold its mission of empowering the underserved, promoting inclusion, and creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods across Nigeria.
